TalonDeck Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
TalonDeck (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a personal media backlog tracker for movies, TV shows, books, and games. This policy explains what data the app handles. We designed TalonDeck to keep your data on your device.
Data we collect
We do not collect, sell, or share personal information. TalonDeck has no user accounts, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking SDKs.
Data stored on your device
The cards you create (titles, suits, progress, notes, and similar) are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData. This data never leaves your device except through Apple’s own iCloud device backup if you have that enabled, which is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Information sent when you search
When you search to add a card, your search text is sent to our request proxy and forwarded to the relevant catalog provider so we can return matching results and cover art:
- The Movie Database (TMDB) for movies and TV shows — privacy policy
- IGDB / Twitch for games — privacy notice
- Open Library for books — privacy policy
These requests contain only your search query and are not linked to your identity. Our proxy exists solely to keep API credentials off your device and does not store personal information. Cover images are loaded directly from these providers’ public image servers.
Subscriptions
TalonDeck Pro is an auto-renewable subscription handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchases are governed by Apple’s terms.
Children’s privacy
TalonDeck is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version at this URL.
